EXCEPTIONAL PASTEL & GOUACHE PORTRAIT OF A YOUNG BOY SITTING BY ARTIST J.A.GRANT 27.5 x 20 INCHES
An exceptional quality pastel and gauche portrait of a young boy in his pale red shirt and shorts, drawn sitting with hand on lap,and captured with a distant gaze away from the artist.
The detail is excellent,with the picture protected under glass and still having vibrant sharp colours.
All in great condition and mounted in original gilt wooden frame complete with canvas covered slip.
Signed in the lower right hand corner " J.A.Grant"
The Portrait has been carefully lightly sketched in pencil in order to achieve such a high standard of finish.
The picture is dated around circa 1950-1960.
