A charming pair of antique Victorian walnut balloon back chairs dating from circa 1870. Good examples with beautifully carved central splat and channelled top rails. They feature stuff over seats and shaped cabriole legs with carved knees and feet. A pair of quality chairs in original condition, solid and sturdy with good figuring to the wood.

Solid and sturdy and upholstery is clean and sound. Good original patina. General wear and marks commensurate with age. Old solid mend to one of the top rails (repair visible from back – see photos).
