Rare pair of mid 19th.c. mahogany Wellington chests by the London makers Hewetson & Milner c.1860. Unusual design having two hinged pilasters instead of one, allowing for a slightly wider drawer. Seven drawers to each chest, graduated in height. Applied carved mouldings, mahogany drawer linings, original turned knobs and original locks. Excellent colour and condition, restored and repolished in our workshops. Keys supplied. Stamped in the top drawer ‘Hewetson & Milner Manufacturers The Exchange Tottenham Court Rd London’.
