Circa 1870 with adaptations, unusual pair of Victorian tall, burr-walnut open bookcases. Surmounted by a moulded cornice over plain frieze the bookcase with rounded corners each have 5 adjustable shelves over a base drawer with cast brass handles. All supported on enclosed plinth bases.
