We have for sale a rather lovely and very decorative pair of earthenware display plates by the Burslem manufacturer Pinder Bourne and Co.

This striking pair of plates are sumptuously decorated with silver birds and golden foliage against landscape scenes in blue and white. The plates are both marked to the reverse with the Pinder Bourne impressed mark and the pattern number 806 dating to around 1880.

The plates are 9.25 inches in diameter and are in in a very good condition other than, a small foot rim chip/firing fault to the base of one plate, some light aging and the craqueler one would expect from pieces of Pinder Bourne earthenware of this period.
