This Pair of Georgian bow chests of drawers were made circa 1820.
An original pair of Antique chests of drawers are extremely rare, in my 45 years of dealing I have only owned 2 genuine pairs of Antique chests. Interior decorators are constantly searching for pairs of chests for their clients and so this is a fantastic opportunity to get these first.
These handsome pair of chests would have been made for an important house and would have been commissioned to be made by a prestige cabinetmaker.
Each chest has a pair of half width drawers at the top and a further 4 full width graduated drawers below, all lined with fine oak and the drawer bottoms with the original blue sugar paper.
They stand on the very elegant splay bracket feet that are joined with the shaped apron below.
Due to their rarity, I would recommend you do not hesitate if you need a pair of chests, as once these are gone, I do not envisage owning another pair again.
