Pair of George III Mahogany Pedestals
Circa 1800, pair of George III, Adam-style mahogany pedestals. The rectangular top is in figured Spanish mahogany with cross-banded fore-edges and over frieze drawers with neoclassical oval paterae and husk chains. There are similar decorations on one side of the pedestals. The cupboard doors have large, carved central paterae with husk chains, above a pair of griffins. All standing on moulded enclosed plinth bases.
