Circa 1900, an exhibition quality pair of circular Chinese hongmu stands. With pink variegated marble inserts in a segmented frame with rounded edge above a shaped frieze, with classic Chinese carved motifs across and continuing down the legs with a paterae of a shaped flower lead at the top of each. Beneath is c-scrolling and the legs have rounded corners on a typical animal ball and claw foot.
