Pair of 19thc French onyx & ormolu urns
A pair of French highly decorative late 19th century fine quality brown onyx urns with ormolu mounts of small proportion in the Classical style.
This pair of urns consist of a gilt liner with gadrooned edging leading down to a turned brown onyx collar.
The main section of the urns are supported with gilt columns with fine leaf decoration leading down to the bases of ormolu gadrooned design with Grecian style ormolu handles.
The urns are supported on stepped moulded onyx square bases with ormolu panels of Gladitorial scenes to the front.
The urns are in very good condition other than a very small chip on the right hand corner of the left urn base (on first photo).
