A handsome pair of mid 18th century side chairs, made of red walnut and of fine quality. The top rail, gently curved to accommodate the human back,are finished with carved scrolled ears. The simple pierced back splat is also designed for comfort. The 2 chairs are in excellent original condition, although the fine red leather on the drop-in seats shows deterioration.
