Beautiful pair of large 19th century Chinese varved wood Temple Lions/Fo Dogs, c1890. They are well carved with nice detail to the face, teeth etc and are decorated in lacquer and gilt, with applied mirror/glass decoration. They are in good original condition in line with age and use. There is a small amount of wear/rubbing and a few losses of the glass decoration but all very minor. They have acquired great colour/patina following years of handling and display.
