This interesting Pair of Framed Paintings show the Four Masted Barque Carradale in Full Sail and with Sails Furled In stormy seas.
The Carradale was built by Alexander Stephen & Sons, Glasgow in 1889 for J. & A. Roxburgh, Glasgow Ship Brokers.
The Paintings, which date from around 1910, are behind glass in contemporary frames. They have not been recently reframed.
There are some old repairs which can be seen in the photographs.
