An exceptional 19th Century mahogany scroll arm sofa of the William 1V period 1830-37. A very impressive sofa of the finest quality,
carved and gilded shell to the top rail, very good carving to the mahogany scroll ends, and the whole sitting upon a pair of gilded broad lion paw feet topped with a magnificent gilded Doe Doe bird to the fore, with matching, shaped rears. All the gilding is original and in excellent condition.
