This is a stunning French walnut foldover card table in the Louis XV style, dating from the mid 19th century. The table has beautiful figured walnut grain which has an exceptional rich, warm colour and very good patina. The hand tooled gilt leather inset top is in excellent clean condition and opens to a red baize interior set within a smart gilded leather border. The table is raised on elegant cabriole legs with fine detailed ormolu caryatid figureheads and terminating in decorative sabots. The table measures 72cm by 102cm by 60cm. When opened the table measures 102cm by 113cm.
