Orthodox Icon With White Metal Oklad 1725
We have for sale a lovely 18th Century Orthodox Icon.
This early 18th century Orthodox icon of the Mother of God painted on a wooden board is clad with a white metal Oklad depicting their robes. The white metal oklad is dated 1725 and the board shows aging commensurate with an 18th century icon including the odd worm hole.
The oklad clad icon is 5 inches (12.7cm) high and in a very good antique condition.
