A good original 18th C. Oak coffer of generous proportions. The front having an arched carved frieze and iron locking plate above the 3 shallow carved panels and carved stiles. The hinged lid having moulded detail and 4 plain panels and opens to a large storage area with side candle box. The back and sides are also panelled and the whole stands on the original (not shortened) feet. Dimensions:- Height...25.75''/ 65cm. Width...51''/ 129.5cm. Depth...21''/ 53.5cm.
