English Antique Painted Pine Box Seat/Coffer.
A beautifully proportioned, antique pine box/seat in the original, 19th century yellow paint finish.
This unusual, English antique coffer type piece of antique furniture could be a seat or stool and also could double up as a storage box or coffer.
The scrubbed pine top lifts up to reveal divided storage compartments inside.
The box seat stands on tall gothic style shaped ends.
In very good, stable and solid condition, the inside being very clean, the original 19th century antique paint finish is in good condition, with wear to the edges due to use as one would expect as this lovely antique box seat dates from around 1865.
