Original Antique Painted Pine Chest/Box
19th Century Antique Painted Pine Chest.
A 19th century seamans pine chest with remnants of the period paint.
Made with tapering sides and a wider base for stability on deck.
This antique chest has the original iron hinges and oval keyhole cover, with later blacksmith made iron carrying handles at either end.
The underside of the lid has an old painting featuring an eagle, compass and flags.
Inside is a good sized storage area, perfect for use as a shoe or toy box.
