Delightful early 18th.c. oak six plank chest or coffer c.1720. Good example of the form, constructed from six flat planks with an applied border to the lid, unusual shaped brackets on the front and shaped detail at the foot. Can also double as a useful little window seat or hall bench with storage. Fitted inside with a small compartment. Excellent colour and condition with some later reinforcing to the lid. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
