Early 20th.c. carved oak Monk’s bench or hall seat c.1920. Typical of the form, the backrest folds down and slides forward to make a table top. Panelled backrest with carved detail, broad arms on turned supports over a lift up seat with useful storage below for shoes etc. Carving is repeated on the front of the base. Raised on turned bun feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
