DESCRIPTION:
This impressive display counter, dating from around 1930, features a sturdy oak frame and an open interior design. Manufactured by Dudley & Co Ltd of Holloway, London, a company well-known for producing top-quality showcases, the cabinet exemplifies their renowned craftsmanship. Access to the cabinet is provided by two oak-framed sliding doors, each fitted with dust seals along the edges for added protection. Inside, a hanging rail is available for displaying items, making it both practical and elegant. The cabinet is supported by stylish legs in the classic deco style, connected by a solid plinth for enhanced stability. Originally, this piece was used to display baby blankets in a distinguished baby clothing and toy shop that operated under the same family ownership for over one hundred and fifty years. This cabinet would look fantastic once again showcasing stock items such as baby wear, horse items or in a boutique display clothing or other items

WORKSHOP REPORT:
This counter cabinet remains exceptionally robust, clean and well maintained throughout, even after many years of service. The surface of the top glass displays some extremely fine scratches, indicative of its age and history of use. Aside from these minor marks, the cabinet is fully prepared for immediate enjoyment and practical use.
