Large and impressive English Oak dresser full of character and architectural features, dating from the early 1800s This style of oak dresser with Mahogany cross banding originated in North West England or the North Wales area.
This delightful antique dresser has been well maintained by former owners and is shown here with a great colour and rich antique patina developed after many years use. This dresser has 9 smoothly running drawers and a cupboard in the base, offering huge amounts of useful storage. The oval brass handles are early C 19 replacements for its' then wooden knobs and blend in well the richness of the drawer fronts.
The top has 2 side cupboards with a working key and shelves at various heights with attached back boards.
The fretwork below the cornice is an interesting and attractive feature of this dresser.
We have put this dresser through our workshops for light refurbishment, cleaning and waxing and it is shown here in good condition and ready to go into service.
