Oak Coopered Costrel Costrel flask %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Charming Bow Ended Oak Coopered Costrel.
During the 19th century farmworkers were partly paid with a daily ration of ale or cider. The costrels were filled at the farmhouse at the start of the working day & then taken into the fields to be used through out the day.
These costrels are also known as a firkin, keg or bevy. Signs of minor historic worm as can be expected, this has been treated as a precaution.
