This is a superb quality antique Georgian Anglesey (North Wales) Oak Welsh Housekeepers Bookcase Cupboard, circa 1790 -1820.

This is a superb quality antique Georgian Anglesey (North Wales) Oak Welsh Housekeepers Bookcase Dresser, circa 1790 -1820. The cupboard boasts a protruding canopy above the upper section with a detachable top pediment. The base consists of two Arcadian fielded paneled doors. The drawers are pine lined which is a typical feature of the North Wales area. The bookcase features the original working lock and key to the cabinet, drawers and base. The cupboard features the original pine backboards and a fixed position internal pine shelves. The cupboard boasts inset oak sides. The base and top are an original match and not a marriage. The cupboard stands on the original shaped feet and is complete with the original bone escutcheons and dismantles into two sections for easy transport.

This item would look superb in a variety of rooms, especially the kitchen or living room and there are many storage drawers. This item would certainly grace any home. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.

Condition Report
This item is in very good condition. The original working lock and key secures the original cabinet doors, two pine lined drawers and the doors to the base. The glass, sides and back boards are original. The paint in the glass cabinet has been restored to a Georgian green colour. The circular brass knobs are old replacements. The internal pine shelves are fixed in height. The polish finish is in fantastic condition. This cupboard is original and not a marriage. Free of worm-worm, solid in joint and ready to use.

UK Returns & Refunds
A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. The buyer is required to cover the cost of return transit – the collection cost is the same as the delivery cost. You will be given a refund (excluding the delivery and collection cost) as long as the item is returned in the same condition. If you decide to return the item at the point of delivery, you will only pay for the delivery cost. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We will not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.

For UK buyers, we will accept cash on collection or delivery cheque, credit card, BACS (free bank to bank transfer). Payment must be made within 5 days of the sale.
