New Hall Porcelain Bute Cup & Saucer Pattern 302
An attractive Georgian porcelain cup and saucer by New Hall of bute shape, c.1790-1805. A painted band of oak leaves and acorns in sepia and gilt, framed with gilt borders and matching small device in the centre of both cup and saucer. Pattern number 302, unmarked. Saucer has a sticker for the Roderick Jellicoe Exhibition 1996.
The saucer measures 13cm (5 1/8") wide and 3.4cm (1 3/8") high. The cup measures 7.8cm (3") rim to rim, 10.2cm (4") rim to handle and 6cm (2 3/8") high.
Condition: there is a small shallow rim chip to the saucer. No other damage or restoration and both both pieces ring well. Light surface wear, mainly to the gilt on the rims and handle. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
