A pretty late 18th century creamware dessert serving dish by Neale & Co, quite deep, set on 4 shell shaped feet with grooved texture running up the walls to a shaped wavy rim with central scrolled detail. Decorated in puce enamel with feather edging and printed classical scene of ruins in the centre. c.1785-1790. Unmarked save an impressed "4" other identical pieces in shape and pattern can be found in larger services where the larger pieces have the full factory mark. I also have another one for sale if you are interested in a pair.

It measures 27.0cm / 10 3/4" wide, 16.3cm / 6 3/8" deep and 6cm / 2 3/8" high. Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Surface wear is light, just some small losses in places to the enamel on the rim. There are a couple of underglaze speckles of discoloration. We are now taking a few days off for Christmas, back on the 5th of January. Wishing all our customers a very Happy Christmas!!
