Moorish Rectangular Coffee Table With Lattice-work

This is an eye-catching coffee table of Moorish design made in Morocco about 40 to 50 years ago. Rectangular in shape, it possesses an elaborately engraved copper tray inset into the top with a stunning lattice-work frieze composed of hundreds of turned spindles on all sides, and stands on four square section legs.
The copper tray is hand-crafted with bands of nature-inspired design, including running deer, and Arabic calligraphy, and these surround a central panel containing traditional Moroccan and Arabic symbols. The wood is quite pale in colour with attractive figuring throughout.
Dimensions:
Width 107 cm (42 in)
Depth 67.5 cm (26 1/2 in)
Height 45 cm (17 3/4 in)
Condition: The coffee table is in excellent condition with a few marks commensurate with its age. The lattice-work is in superb condition with just one tiny spindle replaced by a rod, which is almost impossible to spot. The table including the copper tray top has been gently cleaned and waxed in our workshop. Please contact us if you would like to see additional photographs.
Delivery: This table can be delivered to anywhere on Mainland England and most of Wales by our trusted delivery person for £50.
