Moorcroft "Tulips" plate
Moorcroft "Tulips" design plate.
This plate was produced in 1994.
Tulips was designed by Sally Tuffin. Sally joined Moorcroft in 1986. She was the art director from 1987 - 1992. In 1992 she, along with her husband Richard Dennis, launched Dennis Chinaworks.
The plate carries the impressed "Moorcroft" backstamp, along with the date cypher for 1994 and the tube liner and decorator's initials.
It is also marked with a silver line, indicating it is a second.
The plate measures approximately 26 cm (10.25") in diameter.
The plate is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or restoration. There is some crazing evident. The red/brown ground has an uneven appearance (and is probably why the plate is marked as a second).
It does not have a box.
