This is a super and rare to find in this shape, a Moorcroft Match or Candle Holder in the Leaf & Berry design. The Walter Moorcroft initials marking is to the base, used between 1947 and 1953. The Moorcroft marking to the base accompanied with Potter to H.M. the Queen was used between 1928 and 1949 which gives the approximate date of this piece to be c1948.

It is in good condition but does exhibit a little age-related wear, which includes a small area at the base where there’s a white mark to the surface from use, but no chips, cracks or restoration.

It measures approximately 11cm high and 12.5cm in diameter at the base.
