Miniature Banded Mochaware Mug C1850.
A delightful and rare miniature banded mochaware mug, with blue and black bands around a cream body. It dates from the early / mid Victorian era, circa 1850.
I assume it was either used as a measure as there is a number 6 on the base of the handle. It could however be that this one is part of a set, probably used for a stiff drink after a group has been hunting. Whichever it is it is certainly an attractive and tactile mug.
It stands 2 and 5/8 inches or 6.5cms to the top, and is 2 and 1/4 inches or 5.5cms in diameter.
The condition is good with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is glaze crackling, which in some places has become stained.
UK postage is included in the price.
For international shipping, please contact us for a price.
We want our customers to be satisfied with their purchases, so we offer a money back guarantee. Items must be returned within 14 days and in the same condition as sent. Please note that postage and shipping costs are non-refundable.
