This is a mid century, continental 'x' frame stool with cushion.

Well made in a classical form, the gilt wood displays a distressed finish and is decorated in carved detail with lavish acanthus leaf scrolls and a fluted cross frame with carved panels featuring stylised floral detail. The legs are united by turned stretchers and a central golden damask, dished, seat panel in intricate floral design.

The luxurious, plump cushion is held in place by wrapping the golden ropes around the upper stretchers with heavy tassels holding it in place.

A great piece for the bedroom or as a photographers prop, delivered ready for the home.
