A tall mahogany chest of drawers dating to the mid 19th century. This is a fabulous piece with a unique story. Upon first sight the drawers appear all original, but this was once part of a larger chest, a family heirloom that was split into two as part of an inheritance.

Written on the back of one drawer tells the story of how the drawers date to 1850 but were split in 1940 to be given to a daughter and son.

Very good condition with lots of attractive aged wear and working key. An incredibly beautiful piece of antique furniture in it’s own right.
