A Stunning Vintage Plate Glass & Chrome Display Case
(c. mid 20th century)
High-end quality.
No makers mark, but very much in the style of the hallowed Merrow Associates.
Bright polished chrome combined with crystal-clear plate glass on all sides makes this not only a stunning cabinet.....but one which is also highly practical.
Access can be from the front (for example if positioned against a wall), or, from behind if used as part of a counter: this lovely showcase allows clear and unobstructed viewing of the contents, no matter how it is arranged / positioned. Particularly suited to a free-standing, mid-room / island position, allowing a 360 degree view of the contents.
Great spec:
Fully adjustable feet allow for perfect levelling (even on very uneven floors).
Lockable (supplied with two keys).
Two shelves - fully height adjustable.
Full-length hinge.
Ideal for a high-end shop or retail setting, or, for the home where it could be used for the safe storage and display of your treasured items / collection.
Perfect for Jewellery, Artefacts, Ceramics, Natural History, Objet d'art and Objets de vertu.

Condition In good overall condition. Structurally sound. No major faults. The upper plate glass is very good for age. Quite often these are very worn, and whilst this one does have a few light surface marks (some scratches and blemishes), the overall condition is very respectable and the view down into the cabinet is generally free from clouding or distracting marks which so often blight these vintage cabinets.
