we are selling this magnificent Meiji Period Japanese Jar and Cover, the back ground painted with a yellow colour, the main painting is of a mother & child, both dressed in their traditional clothing, while the child has a collar on a black & white cat with his angry mother next to him, with jasmine trees and blossoms in the background.
