19thc Marine painting by Hubert Thornley (1858-1898) titled 'A fresh breeze, Yorkshire coast' signed to lower left corner. Behind glass in a composition gilded frame. The title is written in pencil to the stretcher.

There is some bubbling to the paint on the right side. The gilded composition frame has some losses to the mouldings but is original.

Approx. overall size 24" x 18". Sight size 15.25" x 9.5".
