A good freestanding figured walnut desk by Maples of London. Of round cornered design with short cabriole legs and shell carved knees. The 9 graduated drawers all with book matched figured walnut veneered fronts and cock beading with good cast brass swan neck handles with pierced oval back plates. The cross banded top with moulded edge and inset hand dyed green leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling. The whole in excellent condition and ready for use. Sizes- Width..60''/153cm.
