A flat front, mahogany chest of 2 over 3 cockbeaded drawers of good proportions. The chest retains its original back and bracket feet. The oval back plate handles are not original but have been on for some time. The drawer sides are oak and the bottoms retain their original blue paper lining. The top and drawer fronts are veneered in highly figured mahogany. Circa 1840
