Smart little Edwardian mahogany bureau or writing desk by the acclaimed British cabinet makers Maple & Co. c.1910. Useful small size, just 30″ wide. Solid mahogany timbers with inlaid and crossbanded details. Open the fall to reveal a fitted interior with leather writing surface, three small drawers and a pen stand with original glass ink wells (one missing it’s lid). With one long drawer below and raised on slim tapering legs with inlaid stringing and joined with stretchers shaped to accommodate the legs of someone sat at the desk. Original brass castors. Maple & Co. stamp to the top of the drawer front. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.
