A truly magnificent BRETBY ART POTTERY Dragon Vase standing more than half a metre in height. Conical form decorated with wonderfully moulded images of dragons.

Bretby Art Pottery, also known as Tooth & Co. Ltd, was established in 1883 by Henry Tooth and William Ault and produced Art Nouveau and Oriental style art pottery until 1918.

In excellent condition with no cracks, chips or damage. The usual minor firing faults in glaze.

A rare and visually extremely striking piece!

Height ~ 553mm, base dia ~ 162mm, weight ~2.5kg Fully marked on base with Bretby Sunburst mark, design no 2001 and 'Made In England'.
