Magnificent 19thC Cradle Boat Hull

Here we have a superb quality 19th 'boat cradle' - the hull constructed with finely varnished clinker nailed into narrow ribs with clench copper nails, with two suspension points, This cradle was built as an apprentice piece and is based on, or is believed to have been made as one of the prototypes for the cradle presented to Queen Victoria and now housed at Osborne House, this piece has been painstakingly made by a skilled professional and is a truly magnificent surviving example of craftsmanship.
It is in fine condition for it's age with a small area of loss to the very front end of the base.
