A really impressive Jardiniere of bulbous form,decorated with applied raised Gilt and Colour Gilt images of 'Japanese' Chrysanthemums,Birds and Butterflies., The rim is also Gilt. There is a definite Oriental influence in the decoration and I believe could be quite rare....have not seen the like before. The base is impressed Mintons and has a clear impressed Date letter for 1886. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
