This trunk was originally bought in South Africa in the 50 it is covered in brown leather with reinforcements on the edges and sides it has the look of a native made pice of antique furniture slightly crude but with a robust construction, the top is stenciled in White paint the one word that stands out clearly is RHODES and 342 Road ? one side marked TOMPKNO ? The handles are well fixed and again hand forged .by the design of the top this could be a car trunk ! hamper .
