Laurence L. Roche B.1944 Acrylic Derelict Railway
We are offering for sale this dramatic acrylic painting by the Welsh artist Laurence Roche, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner and dated it 1980. The painting depicts a sunset landscape over a derelict railway, with the old railway buildingand its canopy as well as the trees and telegraph poles, silhouetted against the sunset sky. There is a signalbox in the centre background. The artist exhibits an interesting technique, with the foreground painted in great detail with very fine brush strokes, while the sky in executed in wide flat strokes.
