A late 17th century - early 18th century Dutch Italianate river scene , oil on canvas ,which has beem relined long ago. The stretcher bares old lot numbers, and comes fitted in a later flat gilt frame, and set behind glass. The Painting itself is of superb quality and is in excellent condition, the frame has scuff and minor losses, and the picture glass has some scratches. The painting would benifit from being fitted in a period frame, which would ultimately complement this beautiful landscape.
