Circa 1880. A late Victorian oak open bookcase. The solid rectangular top, with moulded foredge, shaped ribbed uprights flanking two fixed shelves. Unusually, the gables have oak domed roundels which cover the shelf fixings, with shaped apron the front and sides. All standing on two bracket feet at the back and two tapering turned front feet. The bookcase is clean and sturdy.
