Large late 19th.c. rosewood stool c.1880. Particularly attractive frame in solid rosewood with a moulded top edge and shaped apron flowing into gracefully curving cabriole legs with scrolling feet. Loose seat pad with original wool work tapestry cover featuring roses and ivy leaves surrounded by a broad acanthus border. Some minor wear to the cover, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
