Large Regency Rosewood Gillows Library Table Gillows Rosewood Library %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Finest quality 19th century late Regency period rosewood library table of massive proportions almost definitely made by GILLOWS of LANCASTER. This huge table is five and a half feet long which is way larger than normal. The top is beautifully veneered on mahogany in nicely grained rosewood with rosewood cross banded edge. The narrow frieze is cross grained rosewood ogee moulded. The trestle ended base is absolutely superb with turned carved and reeded columns with shaped base and turned feet with internal castors. The table has no cross stretcher but remains solid which is a testament to its manufacture. Lovely original colour and patination.

The end supports are almost of identical design to a number of Gillows pieces of antique furniture pictured in the Gillows book.

A top quality piece of Regency furniture that would grace any large drawing room and would look ideal either in the centre of a room or behind a sofa.
