Large Oak Refectory Dining Table
Large oak extending refectory table
This Large oak extending refectory table was made circa 1930, and of solid oak.
It was made in a top workshop of the period and made to be sold in a prestige retailer, Harrods for example.
The base has a fine turned bulbous to each corner with Y stretchers at each end that join the central bar running down the middle, thus making it easy to sit at and pull your chairs under the table. The frieze has a fine carved flowing design to the four sides.
It is a very versatile dining table as it is a good size closed up, and also gives the option of you using it with one or both leaves extended.
When extended this makes a table to sit 12 comfortably.
