Large mid 18th.c. oak coffer c.1750. Flat (rather than panelled) top with a deep moulded edge. Lifts to reveal useful storage inside plus a small separate compartment to the left hand side. Simple design and construction in thick oak boards with iron strap hinges and a very large iron lock plate to the front. Deep moulded trim applied to the bottom edge. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
