large and very impressive mahogany wardrobe / armoire.
the top with pierced cornice and decorative carved details, fluted columns to the sides with brass mounts and applied carvings, the panelled doors opening to an interior currently fitted with ( later ) patented slide out hanging rails but these could easily be removed and a traditional rail fitted if preferred, the top two drawers are dummies which gives copious hanging space with a deep oak lined drawer to the bottom.
with marks / scuffs etc and some shrinkage splits as one expects with pieces of such age in every day use but nothing at all to detract either from the functionality or the appearance of the piece, overall this magnificent wardrobe is in good sound condition and really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated as the photographs do not do it justice.
